When I knew I was headed to Jackson Hole, I reached out to Cecilia and Evan for this session! They work in Jackson and I’m so glad it worked to meet up with them and photograph them with their doggies! They were married in 2016 and were one of my first weddings I took after I had my little boy. I absolutely loved their wedding and it was an absolute dream to photograph. I went home from their wedding knowing that I was meant to photograph and document love stories like theirs!
I had some scouting to do for my elopement in the morning, so McKenzie and I headed to Oxbow Bend to check out the area. I’ve really never spent time in Jackson Hole in the winter time so this was a new experience. They were originally going to meet me there, but due to getting off work late, they weren’t going to make it in time. So we hopped in the car after scouting Oxbow Bend and headed to meet them at Taggart Lake Trailhead. This location did not disappoint! It has an amazing view of the Grand Tetons and is a winter playground! This spot is a hub for snowshoeing and cross country skiing so the snow was packed and perfect for us to capture the amazing scenery and their cute faces.
What I love about them is that they love to laugh! I can’t even tell you how happy it makes me to have couples so in love and comfortable with each other that they can spend 90% of the time laughing. It makes their photo session so effortless! She asked what to wear for their session and I said I wasn’t picky. Cecilia said they’ve been living in flannels so I told them that was perfect. I loved their ease and casualness and it was perfect for their pictures. We had an absolute blast together in the snow!
