Tess and Nick have been married for several years and joined us for this beautiful anniversary/elopement shoot. They are two of the cutest people in the world! Also, Nick totally reminds me of Ewan McGregor (can I get an amen?!). They were the perfect people to pull off the shoot I’d been dreaming of! Fall in Island Park is so gorgeous and it had been far too long since I had a session up that way. So, here is to hoping many more elopements in Island Park this year!

Non-traditional Bohemian Wedding Dress

Gosh I loved everything about this dress! We rented it from Alicia at The Glass Slipper Dresses! There has been a big trend in boho dresses with nude lining and white lacy overlays, or champagne and pink dresses. However, I haven’t seen many dresses that have this bohemian feel in this gorgeous taupe color. I was a little sad it covered up a good portion of Tess’ tattoos, but it was a perfect fit. She loved everything about the design of this gown! I adored the fluffy skirt with layers and layers of tulle and delicate beading on the bodice and sleeves.

Moody Florals

Emily at Fancy With Floral was such a peach and created this bouquet for us last minute! She was amazing at taking the inspiration photos we sent and put her own touches on them. Would you believe that some of these florals are not real? The Eucalyptus are fresh and one of the other flower types. But, everything else is silks! I loved the moody bohemian vibe that Emily was able to bring in with this bouquet.

Hair & Makeup Artists

We had the most incredible team for beauty! Laurel Dabell came and did Tess’ hair. We wanted a free and bohemian feel that also showed off her gorgeous locks. I love bridal hair when it’s left down since it helps frame the face and gives the bride something to do with her hands too! Jaime Shippen did makeup for this elopement photoshoot and did a fantastic job.

Romantic Woodland Setting

Pulling all of this together would not have been possible with out the help of Wedding and Party Exchange. She has practically everything you can imagine in her shop and was amazing to work with me to create this romantic woodland setting. The set up looked even more amazing than I could have imagined!
