The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Cole and Lauren met last year at a birthday party! They met through mutual best friends and hit it off right away. Their dating story is unlike any I’ve heard in awhile! After meeting, he knew she was the person he wanted to spend his life with. He packed up his life, moved a few states away to her city where they began dating, fell in love, and decided to tie the knot! They decided to elope in Grand Teton National Park with just their two best friends present. These are the friends who introduced them. Thank goodness for friends who are looking out for your best interests, right?
Their ceremony was so fun! It’s at the top of my list of favorite weddings. We got up so early for their 7:30am ceremony – literally happening at dawn! In their ceremony, their officiant (and best friend) even included the fact that only these two would want to get up at the butt crack of dawn for their wedding. That was exactly what I’d been saying leading up to this wedding, knowing that since I’m no early bird, it would mean an early night and early wake up call. It was totally worth it though! This sunrise Jackson Hole Elopement was one for the books!
The day of their wedding it decided to snow, practically blizzard! Unfortunately this means that we couldn’t see the mountains in the distance at all! Their permit was for a ceremony at Oxbow Bend in GTNP. After the ceremony we went to several different little locations to get cover from the snow. It was kind of a bummer to not be able to capture the grandeur of the Tetons for them. We finished photos at Taggart Lake Trailhead, and that allowed us to capture the base of the mountains in photos.
Instead of purchasing traditional wedding rings, Lauren and Cole opted to have mountains tattooed on their ring fingers. I love how their tattoos look and I think it fits them perfectly! Congratulations Cole & Lauren on your Jackson Hole Elopement!
