The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
One of my favorite things about being a Teton elopement photographer is meeting all of the incredible couples who travel hundreds of miles to be married under the mountains! While Mattie and Hunter were already married for this photo shoot, it felt just like an elopement. Bridal and honeymoon sessions are romantic and intimate! They give couples the freedom to be as lovey-dovey, fun, and crazy as they want without an audience.
Mattie and Hunter’s bridal session was absolutely breathtaking! They traveled to Jackson Hole to celebrate their honeymoon and had been married for less than a week when I photographed their bridals. These two wanted a more couples oriented trip than what they might get in a bigger ski resort area. Jackson Hole is perfect for a honeymooning couple who want some great skiing, yummy food, lots of mountains! The day before our Teton bridal session, Mattie and Hunter went on a dog sledding adventure and now I’ve officially added that activity to my bucket list!
Before our meet up, they had a little run in with the snow and got stuck on a side road on their way to our photo location. They had to walk a ways to get any cell signal and were finally able to get help/get out after about an hour of trying. They were understandably a bit tired after all of that! I joked at one point with them about Hunter falling asleep as they snuggled together, but I’m not sure I was all that far off from the truth. I loved Mattie’s wedding dress. She said “Yes! to the Dress” at Low’s Bridal and I think she picked the perfect one. The beaded bodice was so intricate! I loved how feminine and romantic the Christina Wu Bridal dress was!
After our session in the Tetons, Mattie sent me the sweetest message just thanking me for their photo shoot. She also shared that they felt they’d connected with me for a reason. Several members of their family have been affected by breast cancer. So, instead of wedding favors, they opted to donate that portion of their wedding budget to cancer research. How incredible is that?! It’s so apparent that these two deeply love one another and that love extends to the people around them.
