ROADTRIPPING LOVE
Catherine and Reuben eloped in an intimate lake and mountain setting. Surrounded on all sides by mountains, Bear Lake provided a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. They were married at the beautiful and rustic
Conestoga Ranch located in Garden City, Utah during their annual road trip! The bride included mementos into their wedding day from past roadtrips – the parasol, her necklace and earrings, and her boots. Catherine’s dress and bohemian style was complimented by an overstuffed wildflower bouquet hand made by
The Little Blue Flower. Their elopement was the stuff of dreams and was the kind of wedding that gives you ALL THE FEELS.

THEIR WORSHIP-FILLED CEREMONY
These two were the absolute cutest couple ever to work with! They radiated happiness and excitement over being married and Catherine was so giggly! They had a very religious ceremony with prayers, marriage advice from the pastor, and praising God. It was such a beautiful reminder of the sanctity of marriage and the promises couples make to one another. It gave me such a sense of renewal that this was exactly why I’m an elopement photographer. Because I love to photograph and document these sacred moments for each couple!

SAGE BRUSH MISHAP
I have to share a funny story! It’s a bit embarrassing but I laugh about it now! On our drive home, my second shooter for this wedding got pulled over. The cop asked her to get out of the car, and then asked us both to. Because we had been tromping around in sage brush during the photoshoot, the car was pretty fragrant and he thought we had marijuana because! Ha! I am from Washington and I’m still not sure what it smells like, but I can definitely say I have never been quite so shocked as it couldn’t be further from the truth! He apologized and we went on our way, but it sure kept us laughing for the rest of our drive home.
Thank you Catherine and Reuben for trusting me to capture your elopement for you, your family and friends, and posterity. It was a privilege to photograph you and a true joy!
