The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Lindsey and Matt were married in August 2019 at Schwabacher’s Landing in Grand Teton National Park. Lindsey contacted me on Instagram and I felt like we clicked immediately. Our very first phone call together was 1.5 hours long because we just were so excited about all of her wedding details! Schwabacher’s Landing is the most requested Teton destination elopement locations. And boy, did the mountains show off magnificently for them!
These two lovebirds were friends first and started dating after about a 1.5 years of knowing each other. They met over tacos and margaritas at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, and the rest is history! Matt proposed in New York City in October 2018. They love to travel together, which is one of the reasons they were pulled to Jackson Hole for their intimate wedding.
Lindsey left no detail undone. When I arrived at her hotel room for getting ready photos, she had everything laid out for detail shots. She is so thoughtful, and wrote cards to many of her loved ones. The time before a ceremony gives me an opportunity to start meshing with the rest of the family. Usually I’ve had a couple phone calls with the bride before the wedding day, but I’ve never met any of the girls! So, it’s always fun to see the dynamic between mothers and daughters, sisters, and friends. Lindsey’s hair and makeup was done by Tanya Crocker.
Lindsey and Matt hosts to do a first look at the Moulton Barns. First looks are one of those things that is totally personal preference, but I personally love them. One of the benefits is that the couple gets this time completely alone to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Without all these prying eyes, They get a moment to just relax and be excited together.
Lindsay was so nervous about the first look, because she didn’t really want to see him either until they were really close. So she had her eyes closed as he walked up and go into place, all while having his eyes closed too. Then she opened her eyes and walked up to him, he turned around and the joy in his eyes was unmistakable! During their first look they also took a private moment to read vows to each other. Then we spent the bulk of the rest of the time doing couple portraits and individual portraits of the them. Lindsey’s dress, was the stuff of dreams! I loved the sleekness and elegance of the dress, with dramatic cuts that showed off some skin.
Her flowers were designed by Flowers by Chloe.
Their wedding included immediate family and a few close friends who all traveled to Jackson Hole to celebrate with them. Lindsay and Matt’s sisters brother and nieces made up the cutest flower kids. Tom Jordan officiated their ceremony at Schwabacher’s Landing. The ceremony was incredibly touching, and I think I even cried during it! Mr. Jordan brings faith, scripture, and so much light to each of his ceremonies. The couple also chose to have a wedding planner, Destination Jackson Hole, present to help with the flow of the ceremony.
Their families and friends ended the night at Gun Barrel steakhouse with toasts and yummy food!
