The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Leaving the Lighthouse styled workshop I felt so energized for the 2020 wedding season. I took these photos back in February, and fell in love with all of the wedding details and colors. I dreamt of what was to come for all of my brides and grooms for the year. Then Covid-19 Pandemic hit and I felt like I lost a lot of momentum and excitement. I no longer knew what I could look forward to! Now, as we are starting back in the full swing of summer weddings, I am getting excited about this wedding inspiration all over again and am excited to share it with you.
I love following current wedding trends, and I see this beautiful dusty blue being a huge hit for 2020 and 2021 weddings (since so many have been rescheduled to next year). It has a beautiful soft elegance while still adding a pop of color. And hint hint, it’s not pink, which means your man will appreciate it all the more. This styled elopement is full of trendy yet timeless blue wedding inspiration! In fact, I even put together a gorgeous mood board from the soft colors.
This inspired color palette is one of my favorites with its soft edges and touches of contrast. The rustic farm table top set with delicate china gives this setting a balance of masculine and feminine energy. The china has beautiful hand painted blue flowers and the glasses were gold rimmed. Adding the greens along the table top added just that extra pop of contrast!
Soft, pale, or pastel colors also photograph beautifully with my preferred editing style. When choosing wedding colors, you should definitely consider the editing style of your chosen photographer and if you’ve seen that in their portfolio. If you haven’t, it would be a good idea to check with them! Neon and overly bright colors can cause color casts on skin, other fabric, and place settings so it’s certainly something to be mindful of!
The objective of styled shoots is to allow wedding vendors and artists to come together and create magic! This gives us all the opportunity to meet other professionals in the business and give our couples the best recommendations for our local area.
