So, you’ve made the decision to get married! Wohoo! Aren’t sure what the next step is? I’m here to help! Let’s dive right in to see how I can help you plan your East Idaho Wedding, and then photograph the day of your dreams!
First, If you’re new around here and we haven’t met yet, I’m Janelle. I’m a wedding and elopement photographer with over 10 years of experience photographing events. The last six years I’ve specialized in wedding and elopement photography. I reside in Rexburg, Idaho, but travel across the United States and beyond to photograph events. Summer and Fall are my favorite seasons for East Idaho Weddings.
You could say I’m an expert in helping you chose locations, timing, and photographing your wedding! You might also be thinking I’m someone you’d like to have as an honorary member of your bride squad, but most importantly, your wedding photographer. You’d be right, and I gladly accept!
So let’s jump right in!
LaBelle Lake is one of my personal favorite venues! I absolutely love the outdoor weddings this venue has to offer. The cabin is a gorgeous mix of rustic and elegant. LaBelle Lake is located on the Snake River just outside Rigby, Idaho! Their property boasts several ponds, access to the river, lush green lawns, and even tomahawk throwing. In the winter, the owners create ice palaces for unique photos you can’t take anywhere else.
The Moose Creek Ranch venue is amazing! The ranch offers lodging for 50 guests, a dance floor inside the barn and a lodge that has a banquet and rec hall. They also have several outdoor location to say “I do”! Catering is possible at Moose Creek Ranch with an onsite kitchen. The ranch is located in Victor, Idaho and is just over the pass from Jackson Hole. It’s the perfect mountain ranch to tie the knot!
The Avenues is a beautiful venue located right by the highway in Rexburg, Idaho. The natural light that streams through the windows make for beautiful photos. The bride’s dressing room is so charming and adds a unique elegance to your wedding day! There is a playroom for kids just off of the main room, a kitchenette, and another large room to accommodate more guests.
The Venue is actually multiple studio venues to fit exactly what you need for your special day! Located in Rigby, Idaho, you will be amazed with how these studios create a big city feel. Their rooms are very modern and have a flood of natural light. One of their “studios” has paper backgrounds that I absolutely adore!
Modern yet industrial, the DEC is the perfect downtown Idaho Falls venue. One of the most unique features about this venue is that they have huge garage doors that open up! I love the natural light that pours in when they are open! Check out the photos from one of my client’s weddings here.
The team at Wedding and Party Exchange are phenomenal! I love walking through their storefront and see all of the different decorations they have available. I’ve worked with Wedding and Party Exchange for weddings and several shoots and highly recommend them!
I can’t say enough about the amazing work Joni Hepworth has put into her creations. Every aspect is well thought-out and will awe your guests! Plush Floral offers arrangements from large floral displays to small boutonnieres. She creates magnificent flower arch installations. I trust her fully to create beautiful bouquets for every styled shoot I’ve hired her for. All our mutual clients have been so happy with what she designed for them! She serves East Idaho and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
When I saw one of my clients’ bouquets, I loved every detail! She had two bouquets but she preferred the one from The Rose Shop. The Rose Shop seems to excel in listening and creating what you envision for your perfect wedding florals.
This floral shop is run by Cassidy in Rexburg, Idaho. They have produced several floral arrangements for my styled shoots! If you’re looking for fake flowers, Atkin Arrangements is able to create those as well.
Flowers by LD created the stunning arrangements for my destination bride, Amanda.
Forever Florals! With her designs, Carolina Rosa creates something lasting just beyond your wedding day. Her bouquets are created with hand painted wood flowers and other elements. They look so real it’s almost unbelievable that they aren’t! Carolina Rosa Designs are a great option if you have multiple wedding receptions and events!
I love this sweet shop! Lanae is the genius behind this creative shop. I love the cakes that she produces for her clients. She is able to replicate exactly what the couple would like.
My top recommendation for catering is Three Peaks Catering out of Driggs. Chef Steve is an extremely competent chef and professional in every aspect. Best of all, he creates the most amazing and elegant dishes. I sat down with one of my wedding couples at the end of their menu tasting and I was completely blown away by the entire experience. Dishes and dishes of food to choose from! His appetizers, main courses, and desserts can be seen in Moose Creek Ranch Spring Wedding and Whimsical Diamond Cross Ranch Wedding.
Dave from Catered Your Way is very nice and offers a variety of traditional foods that are so yummy. It made me want to diversify what I usually cook! I was very impressed with the professionalism of his staff.
Elegant and classy are the perfect words to describe the experience I had with Dining In Catering. They have various meat or vegetarian options with each course from hors d’ oeuvres to entrees.
Constance’s creations are fantastic and unique. She is able to replicate whatever creation in a cake that you would like. Once, she created a semi-truck-shaped cake for a wedding! How much cooler can you get? Oh yeah- her creations taste delicious as well!
I would highly recommend Trudi to do your hair and makeup. She is able to capture your natural aesthetic, bringing out your most beautiful features.

He is an excellent choice for non-religious weddings. Hamish can tailor your needs to a special ceremony that’s uniquely yours! I love working with Hamish- he moves out of the way so the photo of your first kiss is just with you and your new spouse.
Chris has over 17 years of experience as a master of ceremonies and DJ. He encourages the crowd on the dance floor and initiates fun games to keep guests entertained! He’s so personable and professional, and can make any party come alive! I highly recommend Chris if you want a personalized experience with the best in the industry.
Tyler Brooks comes highly recommended for your formal event! With a full team to meet any requests, he helps guide events as a seasoned DJ and MC. He knows how to get everyone on the dance floor moving!
I know that all of that information can seem overwhelming, which is why I’ve already narrowed down a lot of the choices for you! While you are (obviously) welcome to choose whatever professionals you feel the most comfortable with, I hope that these recommendations can help give you a starting point as you plan your grand wedding day!
