The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Mikayla and Noah originally planned to get married in August. But, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, they eloped in April! They planned to be married in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Logan Utah Temple. However, the church’s temple Coronavirus restrictions included only being allowed to get married in a temple that you live closest to. Mikayla and Noah both lived in Idaho, so they were unable to get married in the Logan Utah Temple at that time. On the bright side, they got beautiful wedding photos!
We were originally going to take their pictures in Utah on their wedding day, but decided to take them in the Tetons for simpler planning. However, the day that we planned to take their bridals, the weather looked quite sketchy for Jackson Hole. Instead, we looked at a couple of different options and decided to take their pictures in June at Kelly Canyon. Kelly Canyon is just under 20 minutes east of Ririe, Idaho and is perfect for bridals. Mikayla had her hair and makeup done by Trudi Day. Trudi is one of the makeup artists I highly recommend to my current and future clients in Idaho!
Mikayla and Noah’s photoshoot was so much fun, and they were absolute troopers! They really showed their love for each other and brought a playfulness to their session. They were a hoot to photograph! When we finished taking photos at Kelly Canyon, we headed to another location. On the way, we stopped to grab a bite to eat at Wendy’s. Honestly, sometimes I’m really jealous of photographers who have couples that go to Chick-fil-A or In-N-Out Burger during their bridal session. I believe that it makes for fun and unique photos. I was really excited when Mikayla and Noah wanted to do that! Just as a side note, who else eats fries with their frosties?
