While visiting Washington for a wedding, my family made a trip to the Oregon Coast. I asked Sidonia and Corey to model for me while I was in town. Glow by Georgia had put out a model call for me on her page and Sidonia was one of the persons interested! She has a new start up for party planning named Party with Sid! It was such a blast to be able to visit old places and explore new ones! Together with Sidonia and Corey, we visited Short Sand Beach for some portraits that will fondly live in my memory for a long, long time! They were fun and adventurous, and willing to do anything to get an amazing shot.
Short Sand Beach is less than an hour from Cannon Beach and well worth the drive. The parking lot fills up quick because its very limited and is a popular trailhead location. To access Short Sand Beach, you must walk approximately half a mile through thick forest. I couldn’t help but stop part way down the trail and bask in the faint sunlight filtering through the tree tops. Best of all, was how lovely Sidonia and Corey were! Their outfits stood out against the backdrop while still being very complementary.
I could not believe the amount of variety that this small beach had. We visited at lower tide, as it was coming back in. This meant that some of the areas we got to access are not always available! One of those spots was this little private cove on the south side of Short Sand Beach. We climbed over sharp and slick rocks to get to it! It was absolutely worth it and allowed things to get a little steamy! These two were down for anything, including getting 100% soaked by the crashing waves. Their adventurous beachy couples session was literally the stuff of dreams! I felt like I was photographing a real life mermaid and her lover!
