Photographing proposals it’s fairly new to me. Thankfully in 2020 I had the opportunity to photograph several and build my portfolio. Ibrahim and Bojana’s romantic proposal was one of those! Ibrahim and I connected on Instagram and talked there about his proposal plans. I am always so nervous that their girlfriends are going to find out and it’s going to ruin the surprise of the proposal!

Just two tourists, chillin’

I started bringing another person with me to proposals. That way I don’t stick out quite as much. And hopefully, I just look like another tourist who is enjoying the landscape and wants to snap some pictures of the mountains. For this proposal, my friend Amanda came with me and I took some pictures of her on the lakeshore. There was also a father-daughter duo hanging out in a kayak and hammock and we all just shot the breeze for a bit. Ibrahim and Bojana set up their camp chairs and broke open some cold ones to soak in the sunset. Then, we waited for Ibrahim to give us the signal everything was ready!

Romantic Proposal at Jenny Lake

It took a little bit of chilling on the beach before Bojana went to get something. Ibrahim and I chatted really briefly and then it was proposal time! She came back and he took some Instagram photos for her. While she was standing on a rock, looking out at the lake, he got down on one knee. When she turned around, there he was down on one knee with the ring! The surprise on her face was amazing! These two have been dating for 10 years and the day that he proposed was their 10 year anniversary! Tears gently rolled down her cheeks as they reveled in that moment together. 

I really loved photographing this proposal at Jenny lake. It was an absolutely beautiful fall evening, the colors were gorgeous, I loved their outfits, and their natural chemistry! We even got some of the Fall colors in one little grove of trees! The engagement ring was so beautiful, and I loved how unique it was with a colorful center stone. So thrilled for these two celebrating their engagement!
