This is one of my absolute favorite families in the whole world! Of course, I’m terribly biased as this is my beautiful sister and her family. If you haven’t heard the story yet, we shared a wedding weekend and reception 10 years ago. Now she has three beautiful boys! Our boys love to play together so it’s always a treat to get to spend that time together. Her boys also love to do family photos (wink, wink). Actually, I’m not sure any kids really love to do family photos, but her kids get a lot of practice in front of my camera and do a great job. For their fun outdoor session, we decided to go adventure around Utah’s Pony Express Trailhead.
For our anniversary, they were kind enough to watch our little guy overnight so we could celebrate. I surprised my husband with tickets to go see Les Miserables at the Hale Center Theatre. The show was absolutely phenomenal. If you haven’t had a chance to see any of the productions that Hale Center Theatre puts on at their Sandy, Utah location, check out their current productions on their website. We had a blast being able to celebrate each other and our relationship doing something we both love. There’s something about date nights with your partner, such a fun and great way to keep the relationship alive.
We always try to do something to incorporate the beautiful mountains that surround Eagle Mountain, Utah, so we headed out to The Pony Express Trailhead. As we were exploring we found some really neat areas along it. The boys had a blast being able to adventure, and check out some of the incredible history there. Later, we found some really cool historic rock carvings from the native Indians who originally lived in the valley. Springtime can be a really tricky in colder climate areas of Utah, because things haven’t really started to green up and start looking alive yet. That’s one of the things that makes the Pony Express Trailhead area perfect for this time of the year. The grasses are still golden and we get to see the beautiful mountain views.
Overall, we had a great weekend together with family celebrating and enjoying beautiful Utah mountains. Ready to book your family session? Let’s get started!
