Date nights during the summer are always full of fun and adventure, especially in Rexburg. Throughout the year, Rexburg showcases a variety of activities for young couples and families to enjoy. Once Memorial Day hits, the Rexburg Carousel opens back up. The carousel has always been a crowd favorite for first dates, and family outings alike. Families are able to get out and do something safe and fun, while reminiscing on childhood memories.
Rexburg’s Centennial Carousel was brought to the area in 1952, and has been a summer tradition for many young families. The Carousel was designed by Spillman Engineering in New York almost 100 years ago. Only 3000 wooden carousels were built during that time period, and less than 180 are still being used today! Luckily for us local to Rexburg, we’re able to enjoy the carousel every year. Rexburg’s Carousel is open now, from 12:00-7:00pm Monday through Saturday! Bring your family to this fun little spot for a night of memories and laughter for everyone.
Whether you decide to bring your family or your date to the Rexburg Carousel, it’s sure to be a night of memories. If you are planning a date night out there, don’t forget the cotton candy! Bring back all the memories of going to the fair as a kid, I know I’m not the only one that loved cotton candy. Something about that delectable sugary treat, has always made my mouth water.
Most importantly, let’s talk about all things date night! Being the small town that Rexburg is, we tend to get creative with our nights out. Nevertheless, we’re able to find tons of fun activities indoor and out to spend time with the people we love most. Hike in the Grand Tetons! The Tetons are one of my favorite spots in the Rexburg area, with their incredible beauty, and lush greenery, it’s definitely makes the top of my list! Next up, Mesa Falls. Mesa Falls is another incredible location filled with beautiful scenery and fun. Standing tall with it’s 10-story building tall waterfall, it’s a crowd favorite for a fun afternoon hike! If hiking isn’t your favorite thing, go to Gravity Factory! Although you may think that this trampoline emporium is strictly for kids, you would be totally wrong. It’s fun for everyone, and you’ll be laughing all night long.
Nevertheless, no matter where you go, whether you go to see the Rexburg Carousel, or go explore the beautiful Tetons, make it something to remember. Going on dates with your family, or even your partner is so crucial to creating those lasting memories.
