Sharing a beautiful morning proposal at Schwabacher’s Landing today! Just days before their planned trip, Jacob and Ashley’s mutual friend, Bailey, contacted me about photographing Jacob’s proposal. She, along with some other friends, came together to really make sure that this moment could be documented for them. I just thought that was so incredibly kind and generous of them as friends to make it happen!

High School Sweethearts

Ashley and Jacob have been together for about a decade and are high school sweethearts. They have truly been through thick and thin with each other already. Between grad school, a cancer diagnosis and treatment, Covid, and so many other things, they’ve really shown their dedication in love for one another. Being able to be a part of their proposal story just made it all come together.

My #1 Tetons Location: Schwabacher’s Landing

Bailey contacted me while I was in Florida and luckily I was able to hop on a call with her and go over the details. Then she sent me Jacob’s information so that we could plan out the location and timing for the proposal. I sent Jacob and Bailey several different locations and they settled on doing the proposal at Schwabacher’s Landing. Schwabacher’s Landing is one of my favorite locations in Grand Teton National Park. Leading up to the day of we had to make changes due to weather, but it all worked out!

Thoughtful Congratulatory Video Messages

After Jacob proposed, Ashley said “Yes!”. Which of course we knew she would! Next, came a really amazing and thoughtful surprise on top of the already amazing proposal. Jacob had several video message recordings of people wishing them congratulations. He played them for Ashley after she accepted his proposal. They were both crying, the random couple on the bench watching the proposal was crying, and it just about made me cry too!
