Spring weather at Jenny Lake

Early spring in the Tetons is always a gamble as far as weather goes. Luckily, we got incredibly blessed to have amazing weather on this spring day for Jenny Lake engagements. There was still snow on the ground in some shady patches, but the shoreline was still low enough for us to be able to set up a beautiful picnic for Zach’s proposal. For the proposal, we picked up a box from Jackson Hole Charcuterie for their unique offerings. If you didn’t see their proposal photos, you can check them out here!

Jenny Lake is always a favorite location of mine, but in spring and summer time the shoreline is still really high from all of the snow melt. So, finding different angles to take photos out that include the mountains and the lake can be a little bit tricky. One of the things I love about Jenny Lake though is just the vastness of it. It has a amazing view of Teewinot, which is part of the Grand Teton range.

Birthday surprises

Zach proposed to Sarah on her birthday which was so sweet! They’ve been together for several years, and for his birthday, she took him to go see a bunch of Corvettes. So he got to look at a ton of different models and years. In fact his Instagram is all Corvette photos! So it was really cool to see him do something so thoughtful and amazing for her birthday! Her family had convinced her it wasn’t going to happen on this trip, so it was extra surprising when it did.

Jenny Lake Engagements

Immediately following the proposal, we spent some time taking some engagement photos. This is always my favorite part of our time together! One of the couples specific requests was to have something that showed off their tattoos. I love that! They have some of the coolest tattoos on their arms, and it was really cool to think of new ways to showcase those designs in the photographs.
