Julie and Eric contacted me about photographing their 10-year anniversary and vow renewal. They left the kids at home and took a trip just the two of them to Jackson Hole. They roadtripped out from Colorado and spent the first part of their vacation hiking and adventuring in the mountains. On the last day of their trip, we met up to take some photos of the occasion for them. They didn’t have a set vow renewal ceremony. But they got dressed up and had beautiful photos taken to document their annivesary.

Schwabacher’s Landing Couple Portraits

For the first portion of their photos, we headed to Schwabacher’s Landing. This is always one of my favorite locations to use for couples because there’s a lot of variety and it’s easy to spend 45 to 60 minutes here taking photos! Here you have a gorgeous view of the Tetons, the Snake River running through it, and I think is one of the underrated locations in the park. Also, because it doesn’t really have a trailhead, the parking lot doesn’t get as packed as other areas.

It had been raining earlier in the day so we had Schwabacher’s Landing mostly to ourselves! We were a little bit bummed that the peaks seemed to be hiding behind the clouds. However, they sure made an appearance towards the end of our time at Schwabacher’s Landing and during our time at Mormon Row.

After photos at Schwabacher’s Landing, we headed to Mormon Row.  There was a little bit more of an audience for these two! They sure were a lot of fun though! They were definitely aware of the audience and felt a little awkward and embarrassed to be making out and being romantic in front of people. I totally get that! So, we moved to a slightly different location where they could have just a little bit more privacy. They still had the mountains and the barn as their backdrop too.

After taking some photos in their dressier clothing, they both changed into all denim outfits, or what is also known as a Canadian tuxedo! This wasn’t really a planned outfit but they realized that they had both packed denim tops and bottoms, so decided to say what the heck with it! The good news is they’re in Wyoming, the best place to wear denim! They fit right in!
