The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
This Jackson Lake Lodge elopement was a whirlwind! Less than two weeks before their wedding, the couple’s daughter contacted me. Her parents were planning an intimate elopement at Lunch Tree Hill. What makes this wedding so unique is that it’s a second-chance love story. Mayra & Eddie had been married for 26 years when they got divorced. Over the last year and a half they have discovered that they didn’t like being apart and recently rekindled their romance. In a whirlwind of frenzy planning, they decided to get married in Jackson Hole!
The couple’s son works at Jackson Lake Lodge and some of the family already planned a trip to visit him. They all decided to come on the trip together and see what the Tetons are all about. They were originally supposed to wed on Lunch Tree Hill, but because of the weather, opted to have their intimate wedding ceremony on the back lawn. Their officiant, Cindy Dahlin, gave a beautiful and heartwarming wedding ceremony full of prayer, blessings, and peace.
You can tell that this family was so happy for this day to happen! Their children were especially grateful to see their parents were uniting in marriage. Mayra and Eddie were so grateful to be getting married under the peaks of the Tetons. It was an emotional wedding ceremony for everyone involved.
We got so lucky with the weather on their wedding day even though it was threatening rain showers all afternoon, we barely got any drops. However, rain on your wedding date is good luck as it helps solidify the wedding knot. In some wedding ceremonies, couples tie a knot in a rope as part of their wedding ceremony, signifying their bond. It was said that if it rains on your wedding day, the rope gets wet. This makes that knot tighter and harder to come undone. So, rain was seen as good luck for the wedding couple.
After the wedding ceremony, we took time for some special family photos with all of their attendees. Then, I snuck the bride and groom off for some couple portraits in various locations surrounding the lodge. The view of Mount Moran and the Tetons is so magnificent at Jackson Lake Lodge! If you’re considering an elopement location that has all of the amenities, consider planning a Lunch Tree Hill or Jackson Lake Lodge elopement. With a magnificent view of Jackson Lake and The Tetons, and makes it a magical place to share your vows!
