Olivia and Tanner’s wedding day dawned with clouds filled with rain. The wed in a small and intimate ceremony at Wedding Tree. But, the whole drive over the Teton Pass to their wedding it was absolutely pouring down on our vehicle. We were so nervous about what that would mean for their elopement. Choosing to have a simple micro-wedding in the mountains means that there is no backup plan for weather! You just have to roll with it! We had an umbrella, and luckily their wedding planner had about 10! Allison with Destination Jackson Hole did a wonderful job of coordinating everybody on the day of. Olivia’s Pinterest worthy wedding hair was styled by Kelly Rene, and her makeup was done by Lynette. I’m so impressed with how well her hair and her makeup lasted, even with the humidity and the rain. It sprinkled for their entire ceremony at Wedding Tree, until right at the end when the rain stopped. And then the Tetons peaked out! The rest of the day was so lucky with very very little rain and being able to see the Tetons at our locations.
After their wedding ceremony at Wedding Tree, the couple cut their wedding cake and opened a bottle of champagne! The champagne did not bubble up or fizz out at all, so we told the groom to shake it just a little. We thought he’s just shake gently so a little would come out of the bottle. But no! The first shake that he did, he got champagne all up in his eye and he just kept shaking it! Haha, it made for some amazing photos! He shook out about half of a $40 bottle of champagne. I guess it’s a good thing that none of their family really likes to drink anyways!
Next we headed out to Mormon Row which was Olivia’s top location choice. We opted to stop there first since it wasn’t raining and we could see the mountains. I’m so glad I followed my gut on this one! We had beautiful lighting and weather for their dreamy wedding photos at Mormon Row. I love everything about Olivia’s dress and how it is a perfect mix of boho and elegant. She really did look straight out of the fairy tale! Following their portraits at Mormon Row, we finished with wedding pictures at Schwabacher’s Landing.
Congratulations to these two lovebirds on starting their new forever together! If you’re ready to start planning your destination wedding in Jackson Hole, shoot me a message here!
