Stormie and Hillary got married in an intimate mountain micro wedding ceremony on a beautiful August day. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they said “I Do” under the peaks of the Teton mountain range. We started the day off by venturing up to the Aspen trees at Taggart Lake. I love this section of Grand Teton National Park with the rumbling and rushing water, swaying trees, and sturdy bridge. We also photographed the couple at Moulton Barn before heading to Schwabacher’s Landing. Unfortunately, the smoke had started rolling in that day after a week of clear skies. Luckily, the setting sun made the mountains still visible in photographs and was perfect for their sunset ceremony.
This lovely couple had the most unique micro wedding idea I’ve seen yet! Instead of a regular sign in book to remember all those who attended, Stormie found this creative idea and brought it to life. A family member set up the large canvas on an easel to the side of the ceremony. Along with the canvas, there were small vials filled with their favorite paint colors. This creative and unique part of their intimate ceremony involved all who attended! One by one, two by two, or even a handful at a time, guests came up to the table, picked out a vial of paint, and added it to the couple’s canvas. When all the guests at their mountain micro wedding had finished, the couple came together and added two more vials of paint to complete their new artwork.

For their wedding ceremony, each bride wore an ivory wedding gown. They’d each chosen their favorite scripture passage from the Bible, and had it read by a family member during the ceremony. After their ceremony, they toasted with Martinelli’s and we all dived in with some donut eating (my favorite wedding dessert of all time)! There were so many beautiful and unique elements to this wedding ceremony, that it will always have a special place in my heart for Stormie and Hillary!
