I’m a sucker for romance, and writing on your wedding shoes is so special to me. I’ve had couples that write their vows on their wedding shoes. Not only are they proclaiming their love and their promise to one another, but they’re literally wearing them, living them. I’ve had couples that write things as simple as, “I do” or their wedding date. I’m a big fan of this idea because it’s something that can be saved for the two of you. It isn’t something that all of your guests will know about, and it’s an intimate and private thing to share on such a public day.

Another incredible special moment that I love to encourage my couples to participate in, is a private first dance. A private first dance is an intimate way of sharing a few minutes together before the madness of the rest of your wedding day takes place. We’ll play your wedding song in a secluded spot away from the wedding guests during bridals. Then you’ll be able to enjoy a few minutes alone, on your day. I’ll step back after taking a few pictures, and let you both soak it in. It’s such a romantic moment, give yourself an extra 5 minutes and opt for a private first dance. You won’t regret it!

Write a Letter

Letters are always a treasured keepsake. Many people keep letters for years, and they later become a part of your history, and your love story. Whether you choose to write a letter to your parents, your soon to be partner, or even your grandparents, it’s a moment you won’t soon forget. If you both decide to write a letter, it’ll be an intimate moment for the two of you to read your letters before seeing one another on the big day. It may also calm some nerves, and get you both in the perfect mindset before you take the next step together.

First Look

Another incredibly popular trend that is a great way to make any wedding special and create memorable moments. We can arrange for the two of you to see one another in your wedding attire, or even just hold hands, saving that moment for when you walk down the aisle. I’ve had couples participate in a pre-wedding prayer, or simply holding hands to be able to enjoy the moment before you make big changes in life.

A first look is something that I always encourage and hope my couples participate in. It’s a great way to create a moment of privacy in a day filled with chaos and big change. Being able to enjoy a few moments with the person you chose forever with is something I can’t recommend enough. Throughout the planning process, being able to come together with the person you call home, is so special.

Although this day is about you, it’s always important to show the people you care that you love and appreciate them. Whether that’s getting your bridal party a little something, or even your mom and dad a thank you gift. It’s little things like giving gifts and creating special moments that make your day into something great.

Gifts for your bridal party could be a simple necklace, or even a custom tumbler. For Mom and Dad consider a more sentimental gift, like an embroidered handkerchief or a tie with a childhood picture on it. Your parents will love the idea of a sentimental gift, and will cherish it forever.
