Being a local Jackson Hole wedding photographer, I get to work with the most incredible destination couples. These past two years have been so chaotic it’s encouraged more and more people to take the leap and travel to create memories. Just like Erin and Michael, these two wanted some dreamy outdoor spring engagements and we made it happen. Their spring engagements at Taggart Lake were an absolutely stunning day. Throughout their session you could just feel the love and sense of adventure, and as a travel lover myself, I was obsessed with these two!
While there was still a bit snowy in certain areas, it was fun to show off the beauty of Jackson Hole in the winter and early spring months. We were able to explore the trail and just let Erin and Michael have fun together. There’s just something about this area in the summer, but early spring is full of just as much beauty. You can’t go wrong no matter what time of year in Jackson Hole.
Throughout their spring engagements at Taggart Lake, the beautiful blues they wore were a beautiful complement to the cool winter tones. It made the whole session come together perfectly with the delicate green leaves of the trees, and white snow found throughout the trail. When planning your engagement session outfits, think carefully about what colors are in season outdoors. It’s so important to wear colors that coordinate, and don’t blend in, just like this adorable couple.
Recently engaged but not sure where to take your pictures? Make it a day trip and find somewhere fun to go explore with your partner. It’s such a fun way to get out of normal life and do something different to celebrate this next step in life together. In addition, it’s a unique way to show off different elements of your relationship, maybe you both love to hike. Consider going for a hike in Grand Teton National Park and have a photographer (me!) tag along.
After getting to know both Erin and Michael better, they mentioned their plans for a destination wedding in the fall. Throughout my years as a Jackson Hole wedding photographer, I’ve been able to witness incredible destination weddings. I know theirs will be no different. The couple planned for a beautiful Schwabacher’s Landing wedding in the beginning of October. They were able to experience Jackson Hole in both spring and fall, talk about a dream!
