Sarah and Brad had an intimate winter wedding in Jackson Hole. They stayed at the popular Jackson Hole resort, Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa. Brad and Sarah each did their getting ready time separately, then met for a first look in the lobby. The lobby was decorated so festively since it was just a few days before Christmas! It was a beautiful moment.
If you’re going to have some gals present for the getting ready portion of photos, I love the matching robes! It was so fun to do a few more casual pictures with them in their robes and then let everyone get dressed up for the formal portion. Their room at Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa had a lot of natural window light which was amazing. Some hotel rooms are dark, which make it harder to photograph. But these ones were nice and bright. Teton Mountain Lodge and Spa is right at the base of the mountain range, and close to the ski lifts. So after the first look, we headed to the slopes for some photos.
The couple and I took the tram up to the top of Rendezvous Mountain for bridal photos. The day of their wedding, they opened up the ski lifts for ticketed skiing, instead of the scenic rides they had been offering before the season started. We were so bummed because it made it much more expensive to get up there for photos. We decided to go just the 3 of us, without my assistant or any other family. This gave us the opportunity for some pretty epic Rendezvous Mountain wedding photos. It was very cold and pretty windy at the top, but certainly worth braving! All the skiers were congratulating them!
Sarah and Brad were married in an intimate winter wedding with just their parents and some siblings in attendance, as well as Brad’s daughter. These small celebrations are my favorite. Their ceremony took place at Emily Stevens Park, followed by more portraits inside Grand Teton National Park. Afterwards, we went back to the venue to document their private dinner, dance, and a drink at the bar. They wanted to recreate their first photo together. Scroll down to the end to see what I’m talking about!
This was the absolute dreamiest winter wedding! We had the most perfect weather and got so lucky. If you’re thinking about planning an intimate winter wedding in Jackson Hole, contact me about photographing your special day. Let’s make and capture some beautiful memories!
