The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Leah and Josh had a whirlwind courtship before eloping in Grand Teton National Park. While they met several years ago working a job, they reconnected last year and decided to get hitched! They chose to have a String Lake Wedding Ceremony right up against the shoreline.
Leah has the cutest art gallery where she showcases local artists. She’s also talented in ceramics and candle making. While looking for more artists to feature in her shop, she heard that Josh turned wood bowls. She contacted him, he came to her shop, and they haven’t been apart since!
I love when couples choose to include a first look on their wedding day. Even if you are eloping, we can make a first look happen! We picked Leah up from their lodging, and we met Josh, who had driven their vehicle, at Cathedral View Turnout. We’re happy to help with transportation when it works out. Don’t let the idea of eloping keep you from doing a first look if it’s something important to you!
Grand Teton National Park has been on both Leah & Josh’s bucket list, so it seemed the best place to celebrate! Many years ago, Leah visited Jenny Lake and fell in love with it. She’s always wanted to come back, so we made sure to include it in her wedding day timeline. I’m so glad we got to capture their love story in front of this beautiful backdrop.
Why wait? Let’s get married! And so they did, in a beautiful intimate ceremony on the banks of String Lake. As the sun was beginning it’s descent, they were married by Pastor Ray McDaniel. They had a loving wedding ceremony involving scripture and prayer. As part of their vows, they shared wedding rings with each other.
After their marriage ceremony, they wanted to reaffirm their dedication to God and decided to be baptized. The water is very cold this time of year so they came prepared to warm up with a big thick blanket. She brought along their hand-made specialty mugs to celebrate with too!
If you’re considering a unique elopement in the Tetons, contact me. I would love to discuss all the different ways to make your wedding celebration all yours!
