Love is in the air and elopements are on the rise! More and more couples are opting to forego the traditional wedding. Particularly with inflation and rising costs across the board. Instead, they are choosing to keep it intimate with a simple ceremony. As a specialized elopement photographer, I’m experienced in capturing the beauty and joy of your special day, no matter the size. Therefore, intimate and romantic elopements are some of my favorite events to photograph. Our photos will capture the unique ceremony and connection you share as a couple.

Mormon Row Wedding Portraits

Patti and Larry had dated for 18 years before deciding to get married, and they opted for a sunset elopement ceremony in Grand Teton National Park. The bride incorporated a sunset ceremony into their Jackson Hole elopement timeline. However, with a sunset elopement ceremony, we needed to do photos ahead of time. We met at Mormon Row before the ceremony for wedding portraits. It was a beautiful and sunny day, and we had the barn area almost completely to ourselves. After the wedding portraits were finished, we headed to Schwabacher’s Landing to meet with the officiant, Cindy Dahlin. She’s fantastic by the way, and offered a beautiful ceremony!

Sunset Elopement Ceremony

Make a trip as soon as you can and come experience a sunset in Jackson Hole for yourself. At Schwabacher’s Landing, we have this beautiful time in the evening where the sun drops behind the mountains and makes everything look soft and creamy. This is kind of a fake “blue hour”, which usually doesn’t happen until after the sun has completely set.  This allowed them to have a “sunset” elopement ceremony without losing light too quickly. At the end of the night, we pulled out the flash and captured the dramatic pink skies! Surely it was a dream come true for us and the bride and groom.
