I grew up on the west coast, so it was a dream come true to return home for this Hood River Oregon Wedding. I have had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Paige and Sandor in 3 major life milestones. The first was when Sandor proposed to Paige during their Teton maternity session. The second was when I traveled to Florida in 2021 and I had the honor of meeting their daughter. We photographed family portraits and engagement photos on their favorite Florida beach. It has been amazing to see this relationship blossom and grow over the years. While I’m not in their daily lives, it’s so fun to see the growth I do get to witness during our time together at sessions. Most recently, I was their Oregon Wedding Photographer for their ceremony at The Orchard.
Look no further than The Orchard Hood River if you want a luxurious outdoor wedding venue. This Oregon wedding venue is literally perfect. It has the most adorable bridal room onsite for the wedding party to use. The outdoor ceremony space has a magnificent view of Mount Hood from one side, and Mt. Adams from the other. Surrounded by apple orchards on every side, this location is intimate and sequestered from the noisy city. In addition to the outdoor ceremony space, a covered reception area is provided.
I grew up picking apples every fall in Hood River, so it was really kismet for me to photograph a wedding at an apple orchard. Being able to come home and enjoy a week in Oregon and Washington was the highlight of my summer!
The reception area has 2 closed walls, and 2 open walls. This gives it a windbreak and shelters from the worst of the elements if needed. It also allows for beautiful natural light, cool breezes on a hot summer day, and stunning views to be enjoyed all evening long. Their Wedding Planner Heather (Love Notes) ran everything so smoothly. Hair was styled by Paige’s aunt, and the team at Kerrin B provided makeup artistry for the bride and her gals. Dinner and drinks were provided by Celilo Catering while the guests enjoyed live music from Blue Wave Band. With stunning arrangements from Trellis Florals the ceremony arch, tables, and bouquet were simply stunning. I loved her monotone color palette for florals!
If you want the natural beauty of gardens, orchards, and mountain views with the compromise of a half enclosed reception venue, The Orchard Hood River is a phenomenal wedding venue. We loved having the experience of photographing Paige and Sandor’s Hood River Oregon Wedding and look forward to returning to the west coast for more weddings in the future. We offer no additional travel fees for weddings within 1-2 hours of Portland, Oregon. So, Contact Janelle & Co today about availability for Oregon Wedding Photography.
