James and Evelyn had a gorgeous Spring Wedding at Amangani Resort. Amangani in Jackson Hole is the perfect place for an intimate ceremony for those who want a very luxurious event. I had the pleasure of working with the couple on their engagement photos last year fall in the Tetons. It was absolutely the most stunning fall colors I have seen ever! They were so wonderful to work with and it was such a joy that they asked me to be their wedding photographer. Their Spring Wedding at Amangani Resort took place in May and we had gorgeous weather. It was a perfect day! There was some wildfire smoke that rolled in so unfortunately the mountains were a little bit more hazy. However, the lighting was absolutely stunning because we had that slight barrier diffusing the sun.
They chose to have their ceremony on the back lawn of the Amangani Resort and were surrounded by their close family members. Vibrant Events did a fantastic job on their ceremony. It was so heartfelt and allowed them to share personal vows with one another. The Flowers by Chloe were absolutely stunning. The color choices went so well for a spring wedding. They were muted but perfectly on point. We started with getting ready photos in the suite that James and Evelyn were staying in. It was just a lot of fun to have Evelyn’s family in there, helping her prep and get ready with her.
One of the most special things about Evelyn’s wedding dress was that her mother made it! I was so impressed with the immaculate sewing that has to happen to make a dress look good, especially a wedding dress. Her mom absolutely nailed it. She’s an incredibly talented seamstress and the bead work that was included on this timeless and elegant wedding dress was mind-blowing. Olga with Hair and Makeup by Tanya did an up-do for Evelyn. After the ceremony and dinner, Evelyn took her hair down for some additional portraits. The couple opted not to do a first look with each other, so James first view of Evelyn and her wedding dress was as she walked into the ceremony with her parents on either side of her.
After their ceremony we took time to do family photos and a few couple portraits before heading in to dinner. A live musician, Isaac Hayden, played his guitar for majority of the evening as they chatted and ate. I snagged the lovebirds for a little bit of time at sunset to take a few more couple portraits and then we finished the night with a daddy-daughter dance and a first dance with Evelyn and James.
