These Brides Rainy Day Elopement didn’t go quite as planned. We looked at the forecast, packed the umbrellas and hoped for the best. But unfortunately, the storm had other ideas. However, Rachel and Sydnee were set on having their ceremony take place even amid the rain. Because the forecast wasn’t looking any better for the next day either, we decided to brave the weather.
Their elopement ceremony was originally supposed to happen at Oxbow Bend. When we arrived, we could barely even see the river, much less the mountains! We were so sad but went to our backup plan for locations. We decided to go to Schwabacher’s Landing since they loved that location as well and it was not as socked in as Oxbow Bend. In a quick decision, we all headed over there to meet up again. Their friend officiated while they each had a friend standing up with them. We decided to use all the remaining time between Schwabacher’s Landing and Cottonwood Creek Trailhead.
Rachel & Sydnee’s little boy was the cutest! We rolled with his desire to play with the rocks and water for the family photo portion. Thank you to my beautiful brides for sticking through the rain and celebrating your elopement anyways! Having a good attitude on your wedding day will help you enjoy it no matter what weather you have.
