Dan & Lauren were my first Rendezvous Mountain Top Proposal! I don’t take very many clients during the winter, because the weather is just too unpredictable in the mountains. However, when Dan reached out about his plans to propose to Lauren at the top of the tram, I knew I wanted to help make it happen. The weather was indeed unpredictable and they got engaged in the middle of a blizzard. But, the memories will last a lifetime!

Rendezvous Mountain Top Proposal

In both the summer and the winter, visitors can take the tram to the top of Rendezvous Mountain. From the base camp of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, the tram takes you up a climb of 4000+ to the summit at 10, 450 ft. I arrived early and took the tram up to the top before the couple. It’s much windier at the top of the mountain, so I stayed warm by hanging out at Corbet’s Cabin. They are famous for their mountain top waffles!

In the midst of falling (and blowing) snow, Dan dropped to one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. There were hardly any other souls around and it was the perfect moment! She was so surprised it was happening on this trip! Lauren had convinced herself it would happen on their next trip they’ve got planned in early summer. But now she’ll had a few months of engaged bliss under her belt instead!

Jackson Hole Engagement Photos

Later in the evening, we met up for a quick Jackson Hole Engagement session at Cache Creek. After a day of skiing, they headed back to their hotel to prep for some casual, but more formal photos. Since they were in all their ski gear during the proposal, this was an opportunity to have some dressier photos to share. With the snowstorm that was blowing through, I recommend Cache Creek. It’s close to town and has beautiful evergreen trees. It makes for a stunning backdrop when the mountains aren’t visible.
