After having the privilege of taking their couples and family photos, I was so thrilled when Nicole and Kyle asked me to be their East Idaho Wedding Photographer. I met Nicole through my husband. They had grown up in the same small Idaho town and she is his younger sister’s age. Nicole and Kyle had an intimate wedding ceremony at the Westbank Convention Center. This is a great location close to hotels, the greenbelt, and restaurants. It was important for them to have a place that was central to all those things for their traveling guests.
The Bride and Groom wanted to share their first look of each other at the start of their wedding ceremony. Their little boy walked in with an aunt at the end of the wedding party processional. They shared their own written vows with each other and then they were married! After their ceremony, we took their photos in and around the convention center. We went across the street for some of their couple portraits along the greenbelt. There is a path and several areas to get close to the water. The sunlight was a bit tricky, but the colors were so vibrant and beautiful.
The couple loves to play video games together so it was natural that they would include them in their day. Each table had a different video game center-piece. I recognized several but haven’t played them all. My husband manned the photo booth area, which has been one of my favorite photo booth experiences at a wedding. They brought the entire set up and props. I loved that they included string lights, it really made the backdrop dynamic. The night ended with toasts and dancing and was a blast to photograph.
