I will always be a lover of proposal photography at Schwabacher’s Landing. If you’re looking for a scenic location to propose during your vacation in Jackson Hole, this spot has views for days. But, it can be busier than other locations. So, if you want a really private moment this won’t be the best place. However, if you’re looking for a location with water, grasses, trees, and water, Schwabacher’s Landing has them all. It is one of my favorite locations in Grand Teton National Park.

Proposal Photography at Schwabacher’s Landing

Scott and Kristina got engaged at the upper landing down by the beaver dam. He waited until the sun slid below the mountains so that we didn’t have crazy glare or sun flare in the lens. She knew they planned to take some couple portraits so they dress accordingly. They were dressed to complement each other in their outfits. I loved their soft neutrals with pops of muted colors and her western hat.

There are a couple different natural landing areas that you can stop and view the scenery of the river and the mountains together. When you’re lucky, you might even see a moose! However, because there are several spots that could be used as a proposal location, it’s important to talk over where exactly you’re meeting your photographer! As a destination proposal photographer, I work with my clients to show areas on a map that could be used. I send them photos of each spot and what the backdrop looks like in that specific place. We share selfies so we don’t miss each other and I make sure to stay in close contact leading up to the moment!
