Montanna & Alex planned their Jackson Hole Wyoming Micro-Wedding for over a year. Theirs was my first Military dress wedding, and it was really cool to be a part of it. I’m grateful for our military member’s service for our country! They were one of my lucky couples who got a permit for a Schwabacher’s Landing ceremony. We were so nervous it would fill up too quickly and there wouldn’t be any available. She submitted right as soon as the permit application period opened up and received her permit less than 1 week later. So thankful it all worked out!
If you’re considering a smaller and more intimate celebration, then the Tetons is a great venue for that! Typically, my couples who are having a smaller event have less than 25 total people as part of their Jackson Hole Wyoming Micro-Wedding. This is especially important to consider with park permits. Most of the site specific locations in the park do not allow more than 25 people. This includes your officiant, photographer, videographer.
Schwabacher’s Landing is great for these mid size groups. When there is a larger group (still within the limits), then people are more likely to stay away during your event. You’re not allowed to ask people to leave the area as it’s open and a public space. However, they naturally tend to move on when they see a group of people and an event happening. The same cannot always be said for elopements with just a handful of guests, so that’s something to keep in mind when choosing your location.
For their Jackson Hole Wyoming Micro-Wedding, this couple chose to have photos in multiple locations. We started at Mormon Row, where the bride and her dad shared an emotional first look. Following their first look, the bride and groom shared a first look as well. I know I say this a lot, but seriously this first look melted my heart! It was perfect in every way! We took formal wedding portraits among the barn and fields, then headed to the ceremony. Their ceremony took place at Schwabacher’s Landing. Here their guests joined the party. The light constantly shifted from sunny to overcast, and back to sunny. But I was so glad that the storm moved past us without dropping any rain on us. Our last location was Jenny Lake. What a beautiful day for this Marine and his bride! Thank you to Montanna and Alex for choosing me to be your photographer. It means the world.
