During their trip, Andrew and Content had Engagement Pictures in Grand Teton National Park. He had proposed earlier in a more private setting, and scheduled a photoshoot for them to commemorate the special occasion! They opted for engagement pictures at String Lake. It was a nice change of pace to do a session in a place that isn’t the most popular location in the park. While this spot gets packed in the summer with kayakers and swimmers and hikers, it winds down more in the fall.
Their photoshoot took place a little earlier in the day and we were blessed with both streaming sunlight and overcast moments. This couple was so much fun to work with. They were comfortable in front of the camera and could snuggle up, be playful, be serious, show some PDA. I was there for all of it! During your session I’ll follow your cues and choose prompts and poses I think you’ll be most comfortable with. But if there is ever anything you do or do not want to do, I’m all ears. It’s important to capture photos you’re going to love, so let’s make sure we communicate about it.
When you’re choosing a location for engagement pictures in Grand Teton National Park, there are a few things to consider.
Are you wanting a sunrise, mid-day, or sunset shoot? Some locations work better than others for those desired time slots. Do you want more than one location because choosing just one is too hard? How far is each location from one another? Is that location accessible via car or does it require a hike? Does it have the scenery you want? Which view of the Tetons are you most interested in capturing with your photos? Does it have a river or lake that is appropriate for summer activities you might want to include in photos (kayaking, canoeing, etc)? Are there restrictions to what kind of activities you can do?
Do all those questions and ideas seem overwhelming? Don’t worry! I can help you narrow down all the choices and make the most of your session.
