With Fall weddings right around the corner, I wanted to revisit this beautiful Teton Wedding with Hiking. Savannah and Ryan had an intimate wedding day in the Tetons. It was such an honor to work with them, and I would love to work with you. Contact me about wedding photography in Jackson Hole, or wherever your plans take you.
The bride had her hair and makeup done by Lacey Scheidel. Then, the rest of the festivities started off with their intimate ceremony at Schwabacher’s Landing. Afterwards we took family and couple portraits before heading off on a wedding hike with the newlyweds. After their hike, they celebrated with family and friends at the Ringholz Studio. Their wedding planner was Jeanette Beard with Grand Teton Events.
The morning of their wedding, the groom ran an errand to Target for some hairspray. However, during a police chase on main street, he was side swiped by the car the officers were pursuing. While their car was worse for the wear, luckily he wasn’t injured beyond some whiplash. While it did make the morning more interesting, he was in good spirits for the rest of their day, even completing the hike they had planned at Taggart Lake. Their ceremony was officiated by their best friend, and it made the ceremony so impactful and sweet.
This hike is one of our family favorites and makes a great addition to your wedding day. If you’re considering a private or accompanied hike after your ceremony, this is one to check out. The in-and-back trail is approximately 3 miles, while the loop is closer to 4 miles. The views in both directions are absolutely worth it, but there is more incline on the loop trail. The sights up at the lake are breathtaking! We actually got incredibly blessed to have the lake almost completely to ourselves. Because there had been some showers in the forecast, most people were down and off the trail. It did rain on us a bit at the very end!
If you’re looking for an intimate space to hold a small dinner with your wedding guests, the Ringholz Studios is a wonderfully artistic space to do so. Their venue is located conveniently in downtown Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It’s a tight fit for too many people but wonderful for a group of about 15 people. Their dinner was set up so beautifully and catered by Provisions. Cake by Paisley Cakes.
