The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Are you newly engaged? Are you considering a Jackson Hole destination elopement? Congratulations! It’s an exciting decision that can bring a lot of joy and adventure. As you start planning, there are a few key things to keep in mind.
So, let’s dive right in with these eight simple steps to a destination elopement.
First, choose a location that holds special meaning for the both of you. It could be a place you’ve always dreamed of visiting, or somewhere that’s significant to your relationship. This will make your elopement even more special and memorable. One of my favorite elopement destinations is Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. It has an endless amount of beautiful locations to inspire your wedding!
Next, consider your guest list. Remember, elopements are usually intimate affairs, so keep your guest list small and meaningful. Destination Elopements can be a bit spendy for your traveling guests and this is your special day, so only invite those who are the closest to you.
Once you have your location and guest list in mind, it’s time to book your expert wedding photographer. Whether you’re choosing a destination that is close to my home or yours, or somewhere else in the wilds of your wedding dreams, I can’t wait to be a part of your elopement. I’ll capture every moment of your wedding and provide you with beautiful memories to cherish forever.
I’m a photographer that feels like a friend and likes to have a plan.
Of course, you’ll need to get to your destination! Why is this one after booking your elopement photographer? Well, unless you have a very specific date in mind, it’s good to connect with your photographer. They can help lean you towards ideal season, day of the week, or other considerations. If you have a photographer you love and your dates are flexible, you can be more likely to book with them!
Travel arrangements should be made after you have a venue booked or a wedding permit secured for a ceremony in the park. There are some travel arrangements that may need to be made more in advance if waiting on national park permit deadlines. Travel arrangements to consider: flights, car rentals or other transportation, lodging, dinner reservations.
Don’t forget to book an officiant to make your marriage official. This could be a traditional officiant or someone close to you who is legally authorized to perform the ceremony. Either way, make sure they understand the significance of your elopement and are on board with your plans.
To look and feel your best on your special day, consider hiring beauty services for hair and makeup. Whether you want a natural or glam look, let a professional help you achieve the perfect elopement look.
And of course, no elopement is complete without a beautiful wedding bouquet. With the help of an elopement florist, design a bouquet that reflects your style and the location of your elopement. It’s the perfect way to add a special touch to your day.
Finally, plan an adventure. Elopements are all about breaking away from tradition and doing something that truly represents you as a couple. So think outside the box and plan an activity or experience that you’ll remember for years to come. Whether it’s hiking to a scenic overlook or trying a new sport, make it an adventure to remember.
