If you’re looking to enjoy a beautiful Spring Creek Ranch Summer Wedding, this blog post has all the goodies to help make your dream wedding come true! Working with Shelby at The White Antler, Megan & John Michael were able to plan the perfect day. We started the day with getting ready portraits at Spring Creek Ranch. Then the couple celebrated with an intimate ceremony at Chapel of the Sacred Heart, wedding portraits inside Grand Teton National Park, and returned to Spring Creek Ranch for a dinner reception. Their Jackson Hole wedding day couldn’t have been more complete!
Megan let me know ahead of time that detail photos were very important to her. Using an app, she designed their entire invitation suite. It was simply stunning! They had custom wedding favors created including match boxes and drink cozies. Each table setting had an engraved wooden name tag. The bride and groom’s setting each had a monogrammed napkin. Next to the mirrored seating chart, a styled seating area was available as guests waited for the couple to make their grand entrance. All of her Jackson Hole wedding details came together in a timeless way.
The wedding couple chose to have a religious wedding ceremony at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart. This beautiful Catholic chapel is located within the Grand Teton National Park boundaries and requires a private booking with Our Lady of the Mountains church. The church hosts regular Sunday worship services from June through September and seats about 115 guests. The chapel was built in 1930 and has beautiful stain glass windows. Natural lighting is not in abundance and in my experience, flash was not allowed during the ceremony. Keep this in mind when planning your event as images may be grainier with those constraints!
Following their wedding ceremony, the couple and I traveled to Schwabacher Landing for some wedding portraits. This was one of their favorite locations inside GTNP so we wanted to incorporate it into their wedding day. The sun was extremely bright but we had beautiful mountain outlines. Timing worked out that we captured more wedding portraits at golden hour at the reception site.
Originally, the couple planned to have their dinner and reception inside the tent at the Overlook site. When the wedding planner arrived though, they made the decision to put the dinner tables on the dance floor to be moved out after dinner. The lighting inside the tent would have been too dark for the vibe the couple was hoping for so they quickly shifted gears and moved the party fully outdoors. With bulb lights strung above the wooden dance floor and dinner table, beautiful florals and centerpieces, live music and a view of the outdoors – it was the perfect dinner setting.
Following family and wedding party photos, dinner was served! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the delicious catering job that Spring Creek Ranch did for them. They also know how to treat vendors right! I was served an amazing prosciutto wrapped chicken entrée for my meal. Then Megan & John Michael shared a first dance, cut the cake, and enjoyed the sunset!
