During their Schwabacher Landing Maternity Portraits, this lovely couple had a pregnancy announcement and gender reveal! They decided to take early maternity photos in the Tetons on their trip to commemorate their pregnancy. In preparation for their gender reveal, I purchased two different bouquets – one with blue for a boy, and one with pink for a girl!

I read the sealed envelope with the test results that stated the gender from the blood test. Then, Taylor and Ethan faced each other and closed their eyes. I placed the correct color of bouquet in his hands behind his back. Then together, they opened their eyes, he drew forward the bouquet and they shared the excitement!  They wanted photos to share with their family and friends, how cute is that? This gender reveal idea is a great way to have a fun but still mostly private moment together! You could also do it with a larger group of people – just have everyone close their eyes.

Spoiler alert: It’s a boy!! (and as of this posting they have welcomed their beautiful baby boy!)

In addition to maternity photos that highlighted their pregnancy, we also took some couple portraits that focused on the two of them. I always think these photos are so important for every marriage and once kids come along – family sessions should always include some photos of just the parents together.
