Enjoy a Spring Elopement in Jackson Hole Wyoming! Every season in Grand Teton National Park is beautiful for it’s own reasons. In early and mid-spring, the park foliage is still taking it’s time waking up. Grasses are greening up, but many trees are still without leaves. Depending on when your event is, I will recommend some locations over others so you get the best backdrops for your event. This mid-May destination elopement was an absolutely stunning wedding day for Natalie and Aaron and I’m excited to share some of their beautiful images.

Spring Elopement in Jackson Hole

Due to the nature of their quick planning, the wedding couple didn’t want to go through the process of obtaining a permit within the park. I recommended some options to them and they chose Lower Slide Lake. This lake is part of the Bridger-Teton National Forest and unfortunately doesn’t have a view of the Grand Teton mountain range. However, it’s secluded and still beautiful and doesn’t require a permit!

If you’re considering an elopement at Lower Slide Lake in Wyoming, here are a few things you should note. Parking is very limited and is best with a high clearance vehicle. There is also a campground nearby and sometimes this location has dispersed campers. It’s close proximity to the popular Wedding Tree location, and just a hop and skip over to the famous Mormon Row.

When I talked with the bride about her wedding day priorities, photos at Mormon Row with the barns was a close second to getting married. haha. She has loved pictures of these barns, especially the north barn for years. I fell in love all over again with the northern barn this spring and summer thanks to this wedding! It has a truly western vibe and an incredible view of the mountains.
