This gave us the best of both worlds with an amazing proposal during the mid-day, and then the opportunity to freshen up and change into another outfit for golden hour and sunset engagements.

When planning your engagement outfits, I encourage you to bring 2 different outfits to mix things up and add some variety to your photos. In the fall, layers are especially good at adding warmth and new patterns or textures when needed. I love that they still kept things casual and comfortable, but her full length dress added an extra level of dressiness to their engagement photos. And the cowgirl boots were the perfect accessory!

Best time to visit Jackson Hole for fall colors

The fall colors and sunlight at Schwabacher Landing in the fall is just incomparable. These two had the most stunning evening for their fall engagement photos in the mountains. The best time to see fall in the Tetons is generally the last two weeks of September. The weather is mild, you might need short sleeves in the afternoon but a light jacket in the morning and evening. The colors are in full swing and incredibly vibrant. The sun sets and sets a warm glow on the mountain peaks. It’s so magical!
