Cathedral Group Turnout and Jenny Lake

After discussing with the couple what their wedding vision was, we created a sample timeline and they submitted a permit request for Cathedral Group Turnout. I think this is a wonderful and underrated location in Grand Teton National Park. It’s close to additional scenic areas like String Lake and Jenny Lake. Samantha and Carter really wanted photos at Jenny Lake, so after their ceremony we took some family and couple portraits there.

Elopement in Jackson Hole

These two were blending their lives on so many aspects. They each bring two children to their marriage, and differing religious beliefs. I was so impressed at how seamlessly the officiant tied their beliefs together into a beautiful ceremony. The officiant read scriptures from both the Bible and the Torah and after the wedding ceremony, they did the traditional Jewish custom of breaking the glass.

During the ring exchange, the bride and her children planned a little prank on the groom and pulled out a ring pop instead of the wedding ring. After the ceremony, the kids took turns stepping on each others feet since they were now “step siblings”. We made sure to get all the groupings with all the family combinations too! These were all fun ways to include their children in their wedding day and make things a little extra special.
