JR & Ashley’s proposal photography is finally on the blog! While these two had a dreamy wedding in Hawaii last year, I still wanted to share their incredible engagement session from October 2024 (and I honestly can’t believe it’s already been that long!)

Mormon Row Proposal Photography with Custom Ring

This sweet couple’s love story is truly inspiring. As successful real estate owners, JR and Ashley have purchased and flipped several homes together over the years—keeping some as investments and selling others. They also run a thriving Airbnb business, DFW Cozy Living, offering beautiful vacation rentals. Their partnership in business and life made this proposal even more meaningful.

When JR proposed that October day, they had purchased seven homes together in just four years. To celebrate their incredible journey and the foundation they’d built together, he surprised her with a stunning seven carat ring—one carat for each home they’d invested in as a team. This ring was custom designed and made by Deena Fine Jewelry.

The Perfect Mid-Day Surprise

Their Mormon Row proposal photography session took place mid-day in October at the iconic Mormon Row in the Tetons. Ashley knew they were taking photos that day, but she had no idea JR was about to propose! We started with a few posed photos against those stunning mountain views and historic barns. Then, JR got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

After the proposal, I gave them some private time to soak in the moment together before we continued with portraits along the old fencing at the south barn. The rustic charm of Mormon Row provided the perfect backdrop for their newly-engaged glow.

To finish the session, we headed to Blacktail Ponds Overlook for a complete change of scenery, capturing even more beautiful moments with the Tetons as our backdrop.
