Jessica & Adam had some great Engagement Photo Ideas for their session. First, I communicated back and forth with him about different clothing recommendations. They outfits they each brought were great picks. They looked nice with the backdrop of the Tetons, the water and greenery. In addition to the white dress and pants, they also added some muted tones to give their outfits balance. This helped them to look very put together and classy. With layers and clean lines but a little added fill here and there. If you need any help with ideas for what to wear to your engagement session, check out my Pinterest Board: Engagement Outfit Ideas
They had not been to the area before so I sent over my top 4 location recommendations. From there, they chose Schwabacher’s Landing for their August pictures. This time of year you still have to worry about bugs a bit when the sun goes down. So we started the night by the water and as they came out in force, we moved into the sagebrush to escape them a bit.
I love how versatile this location is, especially in the evening. With magnificent views and a 1/2 mile trail, people flock to Schwabacher’s Landing. Which means that sometimes I have to play the photoshop fairy and edit out visitors taking in the scenery. Despite that, It’s one of my go-to Engagement Photo Ideas for locations.
Heck yes! Please bring a fun accessory to your session. Whether this is as an added prop, a layer of clothing, or something else. It allows you to mix up your look or just have some more fun! For part of their photos, Adam and Jessica each took off their outer layer coat. For a few she added a hat to her look. It’s always easy to do, so if you’ve got an idea, let’s take 5 minutes or 15 minutes to make it happen!
Just let me know in advance if there is anything you’re not comfortable doing, or something you think you’d love to do! Some couples love to get their feet wet and walk in the water. Or do lifts and dips. Some people don’t really want to show a lot of PDA while others can’t keep their hands off each other. I am here to document it all! Don’t forget to let me know if you’re bringing an accessory along so we can remember to incorporate it.
I can’t wait to discuss working with you and hear your engagement photo ideas. Let’s make magic happen. Contact me today about being your Jackson Hole Engagement Photographer!
