The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Megan and Greg visited the Tetons last spring and I’m so glad we connected! She contacted me on Instagram looking for a photographer and we connected over our shared breast cancer journeys. I offered to capture these special memories for them without a fee. I wanted them both to have pictures from this trip and making all the memories together!
Megan has been open about sharing her story and experiences on her Instagram. was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after their wedding and they have fought side by side through treatment and remission. After a brief remission, they learned of a new diagnosis: metastatic breast cancer in her brain. She has continued treatment for several years. She has inspired me through her on-going trust and hope in God and miracles.
This June, 2025, will mark 7 years since I finished my own chemotherapy and surgery fight. As a fellow Breast Cancer fighter and survivor, I feel it’s important to share some of the statistics around the disease. Cancer in any form is a terrible diagnosis. It doesn’t discriminate and will likely touch the lives of many people you know.
One in eight, or 12-13% of women will be diagnosed with a form of breast cancer in their lifetime. It is the second most common cancer in women, after skin cancers (as a whole). Making yourself familiar with the signs of breast cancer is one preventative measure in helping reduce the severity of a diagnosis. Check out Know Your Lemons for some easy ways to detect the signs of Breast Cancer.
Thank you Megan for connecting with me and allowing me to take breast cancer fighter couples session pictures for you!
