Claire and Pat had the most stunning evening for their Grand Teton Vow Renewal Portraits. They knew they wanted to celebrate under the beautiful mountain peaks in the late spring. After rescheduling due to poor weather, we had a perfect evening a few weeks later. We took photos in two locations during their session. The first was Albright View Turnout – this location is close to Jackson townsite and doesn’t require a parks pass to access.  The second location was Schwabacher Landing, which is a very popular tourist location for good reason.

Grand Teton Vow Renewal

The couple decided not to have a fully traditional vow renewal. They opted to share vows privately before their photo session and not have an officiant or ceremony. Because of these reasons, they didn’t need to get a permit from the park. It was essentially a fancy photoshoot with an elopement vibe! Claire sent me a few photo inspiration that she wanted to get something similar during the photo session. I was a little nervous about trying double exposure because it had been awhile since I played with that mode for in camera. I arrived early to get landscape photos and practice. I ultimately decided to do all of the double exposure editing in post processing using Photoshop. I love how they turned out!

Including Your Pups in Wedding Photos

Because their pups are a big part of their lives, we got a few photos with them at our first location at the turnout. The turnouts are perfect for this reason as we can be in the parking lot or right next to it and still have these incredible views and surroundings! The national parks have strict rules on pets and where they can go, so be sure to familiarize yourself with those guidelines while planning your trip.
