These two gorgeous humans made for the prettiest Pocatello couples portraits. I’m cheating a little bit with this blog post because these Gibson Jack portraits are actually from Rebekah and Joel’s family session. Honestly though, when you have a couple that’s this good looking, you for sure want to document it! It’s actually something that I make sure to do in every Family session. It’s really important for Mom and Dad to have photos together that are updated and current. Just like it’s really important to have updated and current headshots for each person in the family too.
My favorite part of doing couple portraits during a family session is getting to gross all of the kids out. I give mom and dad free reign with kissing, butt grabs and snuggles! It really is the best! These 2 have a really genuine and natural chemistry that was such a joy to work with. They’re all so a little bit nerdy with her love of books and his love of Star wars. And I am here for it! Honestly they are my kind of people and if we lived closer I think we would have hung out more before they moved (lucky for them there’s no pressure now! Haha)
This was also really good practice for them to get comfortable with me as their photographer. I asked them to model for my Swan Valley Idaho Styled Shoot last fall. For their family photos, we met at Gibson Jack Trailhead in Pocatello, Idaho. This is one of my favorite trails in the springtime when all of the flowers are blooming and everything is green, lush, and gorgeous. It also happens to look pretty incredible in the fall as well. In the fall, the tall grasses turn wheat colored and we have beautiful golden hour lighting. Gibson Jack is my favorite Pocatello couples portraits location.
