It was such a joy working with Halle and Cameron for their wedding! We had the opportunity to take their engagement photos in Jackson Hole over the summer. Then a few weeks before their wedding, we took these beautiful winter bridals in Kelly Canyon.
Choosing to have a winter wedding comes with risks. The weather can be wild, and the temperatures drop. Here are a few ways to prepare for your outdoor winter bridals. First, add an extra layer under your wedding clothes. This may include thermals, fleece leggings, or other choices of layers. Wear boots with thick socks to keep out the snow and cold. Toes get cold fast! Bring handwarmers and gloves. Handwarmers can usually be easily hidden in hands during posing, and gloves can be put on intermittently to help warm up. Always bring a coat or a blanket to wrap up in between locations! Keep those things in mind and you’ll be all ready for your winter bridals.
Halle and Cameron came well prepared for their pre-wedding photoshoot. We met at Kelly Canyon, just outside of Rexburg, Idaho. It was late November, so there wasn’t much snow on the ground, which made this location the perfect choice. There was enough snow to make it magical, and not enough to make it a menace to walk through. This couple’s natural chemistry together is so lovely. They had no problem being romantic and mushy with each other. Halle’s A-line dress from Fantasy Bridal was a delicate blend of lace and tulle. I photographed her sister’s wedding in 2019 and she also got her dress from Fantasy Bridal! It was fun to be back in Kelly Canyon Idaho for this pre-wedding photoshoot.
