Annika and Nolan were so fun during their Spring Teton Couple Portraits. I had several photoshoots over Memorial Day weekend and one of my friends and her husband decided to make the trip with me one of the days! They drove, which was a nice break from the commute. We packed a load of snacks and made a mini road trip out of it. After their photoshoot, I met another client and did their pictures in the same location.

Schwabacher’s Landing in early spring is so beautiful. It hasn’t been run down by all the tourists and is still lush and green. The days are long and we enjoy beautiful lighting in the evening for more time than in the fall and winter! I’m also a sucker for all the accessories, and love when hats are included in your photoshoot. Keep in mind that accessories and a change of clothes or layering is a great addition during your Spring Teton Couple Portraits, and any other time of the year.

Posing Tips for Couples

As a photographer who loves the timeless quality of photos, it’s important to get that photo with both individuals looking straight at the camera. This is always a must have photo for me. It may seem like a simple enough task, but I see photographers who never take this photo because they are more focused on other poses and aspects. Which is totally fine for their couples if that’s what they want. But my couples all want at least a few of them looking at the camera together. And their parents always appreciate it too! Let’s remember what your faces look like because it will be very different in 30 years!

Annika & Nolan’s photoshoot was only about 30 minutes long and we got such variety in that short time. This 30 minute session option is pretty popular, and I know how much we can accomplish in that time. These are just some of the highlights and include some of my favorite couple poses.
