When planning a spring trip to Jackson Hole, you have to be prepared for anything. This lovely couple traveled from Texas and were met with wet weather and snowy days in mid-April. We originally planned to take photos in two locations, and spend time out by the Tetons. But because of the weather, Josh opted to proposed to Grace at the Elk Antler Arches. The Elk Antler Arches make such a great place for a Jackson Hole Town Square Proposal!
If you’ve visited Jackson Hole, you know that the famous antler arches are the focal point of town square. There are also some amazing neon light signs and boardwalks all around town. For couples who like the rustic look reminiscent of cowboy days, this is the place to be! The buildings are all designed with that old timey aesthetic.
Mid-April is a great time to visit with less crowds to work around. Unfortunately some thing are closed as many businesses take a “spring break” after the ski resorts close and before the summer crowds pile in. However, their Jackson Hole Town Square Proposal could not have been more perfect. Less crowds meant we had no one we had to carefully crop out. And, no one intruding on the moment.
Josh and Grace’s engagement will be one they never forget! Their snowy Jackson Hole engagement photos will be quite the change of pace from the Texas weather they get to enjoy. The snow started in earnest just minutes before the proposal happened. But they didn’t let that dissuade them from getting photos to remember it by. Proposal photography is such a fun thing to be trusted with. There is planning that has to be kept on the down low, and then we have to try to blend in and not be conspicuous. It’s a job I love doing!
