It’s not often that I get to be a Jackson Hole engagement photographer for the same couple twice! Timing worked out to photograph Maddie & Scott’s proposal, and then shortly after, their formal engagements. I loved their Wedding Tree engagements and the other locations we used also!
Because they were camping when I photographed their proposal photos at Schwabacher’s Landing, they wanted to do another session with the Tetons. They also had a rainy Teton proposal, so we took the opportunity for this second session without rain. Luckily, we also had great weather for their next photoshoot and a wonderful view of the Tetons.
When couples book a longer photo shoot, I always recommend that they bring a change of outfits and mix it up. They can choose any type of outfits that they want, but I usually recommend a casual outfit and a dressier one. Some bring two dressier options, or two casual outfits and that’s just fine too! Some bring their whole wardrobe stuffed in the back on their car and I help them decide when they show up!
We started off their engagement session at the Wedding Tree. It’s a gorgeous place a bit off the beaten path for photos. We then ended the night at Mormon Row with the beautiful fields.
When booking your Jackson Hole engagement session, it is important to consider what you’ll be using the photos for and how you want that to tie in. Will they be used for wedding invitations, save the dates, prints at a reception?
