The blog is a collection of wedding and elopement highlights sharing your beautiful stories. It also includes wedding planning tips and inspiration.
Surrounded by the love of their friends, Ashley & Justin said their “I Dos” in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Their intimate Snake River Overlook Elopement was officiated by Pastor Ray. He always gives the best advice to couples during their wedding ceremony. It’s filled with love and such devotion.
When we arrived at the ceremony site, Ashley gifted me a beautiful purple hardcover journal with the scripture “Have Courage” Joshua 1:9. I am not much of a journal writer, but try to write down special experiences I have, so it will be perfect! She gifted one to their pastor as well and it’s just such a thoughtful gift!
I always love when a couples wants to do a first look. It wasn’t originally the plan, but we decided to make it happen before the ceremony officially began. Their friends were all gathered and got to witness it as well. Justin and Ashley both got emotional about it, which is so heartwarming. It ‘s always my favorite when the groom is this happy to see his bride on their wedding day!
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful ceremony and portrait time to follow. This was my first Snake River Overlook Elopement and it was stunning! I look forward to photographing this part of the landscape with more couples in the future. We still wanted some privacy for the ceremony so used the sage brush portion without the river overlook for that.
After their elopement ceremony, the couple and I went to Jenny Lake for wedding portraits. In late June the flowers are blooming around the lake so beautifully. The evenings are still and the light is beautiful.
