This Grand Teton proposal had the best western flair! Garrett and Lauren are high school sweethearts. They have known each other for over half of their lives. The two met each other in the third grade and became friends over the years. In high school, they decided they really liked each other and wanted to be more than friends. They started dating soon after which brings us to their proposal 6 years later!

Grand Teton Proposal

On a road trip from Texas to Wyoming, Garrett decided it would be the perfect place to propose. In his own words, she’s only been bugging him about it for about four and a half years. So, he’s had ample opportunity to know exactly what kind of ring she would like to have! While she wants it to be a surprise she also wants to be dressed up when the proposal happens! I can’t say I blame her one bit.

May had been a very sketchy month for weather. We’d had a very cold and wet spring and had quite a bit of snow in late April and early May. We kept checking the weather app because it looked like it was just going to be a miserable day. However, we got so lucky! It was a bit windy, so the location that Garrett had chosen for the Grand Teton proposal was perfect. It’s secluded and nestled in all of these trees so we were protected from the big gusts that were happening.

After scouring lots of different photos, the bridge is the location that he felt the most inspired about using. He also knew that Lauren has always wanted to have photos done at the antler arches downtown. He wasn’t sure that that’s where she’d want the proposal to happen. So, that is the location that we used for our second place! It’s always fun to do some pictures downtown Jackson Hole because there’s the neon lights on building around town. The Antler Arch that’s so famous too!
